Michael Chin is a 2026 C/OF with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Episcopal. Features a medium-sized build with some compact strength and physicality. Behind the plate during throwdowns, worked from a knee down set up. Was a bit up on home-plate at reception. Good quickness with the lower-half where he gained a ton of ground. Compact/fast exchange where he only booted one. Noticeable effort to the arm that showed above avg. strength and decent accuracy to the bag. At the plate, sits in a medium base that is slightly open. Uses a leg lift trigger that he initiates early. Higher elbow launch with knob to catcher. Path worked more uphill to the baseball with quality bat speed. Stayed behind it well but showed inconsistent timing throughout his round. Best results during his BP round where a couple hard FBs to the opposite field. Named to Top Prospects list.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
