Carter Lenz is a 2025 RHP/OF with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Rockingham, VA who attends Spotswood. Lean and wiry athletic build with plenty of room to get stronger. Works from a fast paced full wind up on the mound with a high leg tuck start, deeper arm takeaway in back leading to a 3/4's arm slot, good lower half drive down the mound, has athletic actions on the mound with lots of arm speed through release. Fastball topped out at 88 mph with good arm side running life, threw lots of fastball strikes and attacked the zone. Slider was a nice second pitch with power and sharp biting action along with some two-plane shape, created some uncomfortable swings and takes with the pitch. Had some feel for taking off the slider for a bigger curveball break. Change up was a very promising pitch with good arm speed and nice fading action. Has all the pitches and ability to throw them for strikes and should keep adding velocity as he continues to mature physically. 7.25 runner in the sixty. Plays the outfield when not on the mound and showed his arm strength very well there in workouts. Right handed hitter, hits from a narrow stance with a compact hand set, shifts his weight in well and gets some torque from his hips, works gap to gap and has some bat speed and strength in his hands. Very good athlete with a bright future on the mound. Good student. Named to the Sunshine Mid-Atlantic Showcase Top Prospect List.
