Matt Altman is a 2026 RHP/1B/OF with a 5-11 197 lb. frame from Odessa, FL who attends Gaither HS. Recorded a 7.50 second 60-yard dash time. Medium frame with athleticism throughout the build and solid present strength. Primary right-handed pitcher with a medium leg kick and good tempo toward the plate. Quick arm through a three-quarters arm slot. Crossfire angle with the front langing leg and generates good cutting life on the mid-80s fastball that peaked at 85 mph. Curveball showed 11/5 shape with good depth. Challenged hitters and not afraid to attack with the fastball. Arm strength also showed from secondary position of first base. Right-handed hitter with a short swing and a wide starting base. High hand set with a high back elbow. Big power particularly to the pull side. Is able to generate immense strength at the point of contact and peaked with a best exit velocity of 102 mph during cage testing. Power approach on both sides of the ball. Good student. Named to the Florida HS All-State Games TP List.
