2025 PG Uncommitted Select Games (2027 Grads)
Derek Yormack is a 2027 RHP/1B, 3B, UT with a 6-3 210 lb. frame from Merrick, NY who attends Bellmore JFK. Big and strong high waisted build. Primary right-handed pitcher, abbreviated windup from the first base side of the rubber, belt high leg lift to balance, full arm path in the back to a high three-quarters slot. Confident in three pitch mix, creates deception and works fast. Fastball sat in the upper-80s, topping at 90 mph multiple times early, spins up to 2387 RPM. Landed curveball in upper-70s (2335 RPM) and showed a changeup to left-handed hitters at 84 mph (1464 RPM). Ran a 6.98 60-yard dash. Switch hitter, similar setups in both stances, open with high hands, swings it with intent and easy strength at impact, lifting it to the pull-side with authority often in the right-handed round. More contact oriented in the left-handed swing with strength to the gaps. Secondary corner infielder, fundamental footwork circling grounders, enoguh arm strength to stick at a corner spot, recording throws up to 93 mph. Hands work with solid range to both sides. Showed similar arm strength from the outfield as well with throws up to 91 mph. Intriguing two-way ability. Excellent student. Named to the PG Uncommitted Select Games Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
