Archer Baughman is a 2027 RHP/SS with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Philipsburg, PA who attends Philipsburg-Osceola Area. Lean and wiry build with some strength in his lower half and plenty of physical projection remaining. On the mound, compact look with a deceptive lower 3/4 slot that makes the fastball get on hitters, worked 85-87 and touched 87, mixed an 11-5 curveball at 72, and showed a changeup at 80. 7.18 runner in the sixty. Worked out at shortstop, moves well laterally and attacks the baseball with clean glove work, shows arm strength with developing accuracy and feel as he continues to tighten up his arm slot. Right handed hitter, sets up in a very wide base with a high hand load and a simple stride, shows barrel speed and bat speed, can get all-or-nothing at times and will benefit from staying through the barrel more consistently. Outstanding student. Named to the Mid-Atlantic Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
