Ryan Hughes is a 2022 RHP/ with a 6-6 185 lb. frame from Cave Creek, AZ who attends Cactus Shadows. Extra long and tall build with outstanding physical projection remaining. Works from the stretch with a high hand arm action and a high leg lift over the rubber, arm works well coming through, stays directional well and repeats his mechanics well for a tall young pitcher. Fastball worked consistently in the mid-80's, topped out at 86 mph with good late arm side running life, showed command of his fastball and the ability to hit spots to both sides of the plate. Curveball was tunneled well with his fastball with tight 11/5 spin and good depth. Mixed his pitches well and kept hitters guessing consistently. Very interesting young pitching prospect with present skill and tons of physical projection remaining. Excellent student. Named to the National Underclass Main Event Top Prospect List.
