2024 Sunshine Mid-South Showcase (Tues-Wed)
Cooper Bierman is a 2026 3B/RHP with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Olive Branch, MS who attends Lewisburg. Long and slender athletic build with lots of room to get stronger. 7.08 runner in the sixty. Primary third baseman on defense, has fluid defensive actions with nice glove work, works low to the ground and gets his glove in good position, circles the ball well and works through his throws with active and quick feet, plenty of arm strength with the ability to change slots, no physical reason he can't play in the middle of the infield as well as third base. Right handed hitter, hits from an upright stance with a low hand start, short toe tap into his swing, hits from a casual still start and lacks rhythm into his swing, can be late getting his hands and the barrel started, flashed some mid field jump but needs adjustments to get to his strength and athleticism more often. Also pitched and showed plenty of mound talent, has an on line drop and drive delivery with quick tempo, longer arm swing in back with a high 3/4's arm slot coming through. Fastball topped out at 84 mph, gets big arm side running life and sink. Slider was a nice pitch with full arm speed and sharp and tight bite and shape, throws his slider with confidence and for strikes. Good student. Named to the Sunshine Mid-South Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
