Matthew Hopkinson is a 2026 RHP/UT with a 6-3 205 lb. frame from Mobile, AL who attends Homeschool. Nice young pitcher's build with good present strength and room for more in the future. Works from a stretch/short modified windup delivery from the first base side of the rummer, stays on line down the mound with good front side energy and direction, full in line arm action to a high 3/4's arm slot, finishes balanced and controlled out front and repeats his delivery well. Fastball topped out at 88 mph, gets some ride up in the zone and cut it occasionally with intent, can manipulate his fastball and uses it with maturity. Lands a soft slider well with some 2-plane shape and good spin. Also worked in a change up that shows promise with good deception and life. Confident and under control on the mound and attacks hitters with a purpose and a variety of quality pitches. This projects and could really improve over the next few years. Excellent student. Named to the Sunshine Atlantic Coast Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
