2022 High School All State Select Championship (2023-2024 Grads)
Josh Arquette is a 2024 SS/C with a 6-0 199 lb. frame from Kingwood, TX who attends Kingwood. Big lean athletic frame. Defensively, he worked out from mulitple spots. In the infield, he tends to wait back a bit but the glove plays, working through hops with ease. The arm makes up for the lack of urgency with accurate carrying strikes across the diamond. Behind the plate, he sets up high with developing foot speed, throws a bit uphill to the bag but showed to be accurate at times. At the plate, he sets up with wide spread base and low back elbow. The timing of the swing could use a bit of renfinement but showed feel to barrel baseballs to all fields with some level of frequency. 7.15 60-yard. 2.12 pop time. Outstanding student.
