Von Nielsen is a 2029 RHP/OF with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Bradenton, FL who attends Lakewood Ranch. Slender young build with lots of physical projection remaining. Recorded a 7.08 second sixty-yard dash time. Controlled delivery with good lower half engagement and explosive movements down the slope. Lightning quick arm, fastball worked steadily in the mid-80s and topped out at 87 mph from a three-quarters arm slot. Boring life through the zone with the fastball, paired it well with a tight 11-5 shaped slider that had some bite to it and landed it consistently. Secondary outfielder with athletic and aggressive actions throughout the fielding process. Carried momentum into release well, produced accurate throws with carry up to 86 mph during drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from an upright, slightly open stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and toe-tap trigger. Simple, slightly lofted stroke with plenty of present bat speed, feel for the barrel and impact potential from gap-to-gap. Exciting two-way prospect with vast physical upside. Good student.
