2024 Jr. National Showcase
Blake Hoffer is a 2026 LHP/1B with a 6-5 195 lb. frame from Glenview, IL who attends Glenbrook South. Left-handed pitcher with a big frame and projectable build. Side step working from the third base side of the rubber. Belt-high lift with a high 3/4 arm slot down the slope. Lands slightly closed riding the slope with glove tap at apex of his lift. Sneaky fastball in the mid-80s with his long arm swing behind and high slot release. Featured a slider in the mid-70s with sweep action and a changeup in the 77-mph range to complete his pitch mix. Moved the ball to both sides of the plate with solid command at glove side extension. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
