2024 West Coast Uncommitted Prospect Showcase
Austin Finegan is a 2026 OF/LHP with an athletic 6-1 190 lb. frame from Clovis, CA who attends Buchanan HS. Started off the event clocking a 7.00 60-yard dash. A primary outfielder that pitches as well. Offensively, Finigan showed the ability to barrel up the baseball in his BP round with a compact stroke. He employed an all-fields approach and shot the gap a few times showing potential impact. Defensively he worked through the baseball with ease using the proper foot/glove techniques and delivering a few on-line throws to third base and home plate that showed off his accuracy. On the mound he features a 3-pitch mix (FB, CB, CH) out of a low 3/4 arm slot. Not going to blow the doors off velocity wise, but threw a lot of strikes and showed he had decent command of his secondary offerings.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
