Owen Cornett is a 2023 1B/RHP/3B with a 6-4 230 lb. frame from Du Quoin, IL who attends Duquoin. Extra Large frame with a physical build showing strength throughout. Ran a 7.63 second sixty yard dash. Primary First Baseman, works into the baseball under control. Clean gather out front showing feel for the glove. Proper footwork present both around the bag and when turning two. Accurate with throws up to 84 mph. Profile and tool set fit position well. Left Handed Hitter, upright and slightly open with the front side pre pitch. Strides out and creates separation. Fires the hands showing a quick bat. Knows how to leverage the baseball and drive it deep with backspin. Power in the swing and projects as such going forward. Great Student. Named to National Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
