Nathan Almquist is a 2026 1B/RHP/3B with a 6-1 205 lb. frame from Cypress, TX who attends Tomball Memorial. Big and strong athletic build. Right handed hitter, starts from an open and narrow stance with a toe tap trigger, inconsistent getting his front foot down on time, long and strong swing and can impact the ball when he's on time, has adjustments to make to get to his strength more consistently. 6.95 runner in the sixty. Primary first baseman on defense, quick turns and solid glove actions. Really funnels to his middle and has an accurate arm across, looks the part and moves well for size. Showed solid arm strength from the infield with a good backhand. quality footwork for size. Has more arm strength in store. Also pitched, works from an over the top slot and gets down the mound well for size though can firm up direction. Stays on top of his pitches well and produces velocity. Changeup and slider both flashed a lot of potential in the differing shape of one another. Lots to like.
