John Porter Wilsey is a 2022 C/1B with a 6-3 210 lb. frame from Delanson, NY who attends Albany Academy for Boys. Big and strong athletic build with plenty of upper body room to get stronger. 5.37 runner in the forty. Moves well behind the plate and has some lightness on his feet for his size, tends to stand up from his crouch to throw, showed good arm strength with some carry on his throws. Right handed hitter, hits from an open stance with a big pull back lower half load, long and extended arm driven swing, gets his front shoulder turned to start his swing, has some strength at contact and gets some jump off the barrel, top hand heavy at contact with pull side contact.
