Cal Carmichael is a 2026 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-7 125 lb. frame from Carmel, IN who attends Carmel. Slender young athletic body. Showed good athleticism in the middle infield and moved well to the ball, good active feet and solid fundamentals, plays defense with energy and aggressiveness, arm strength developing but makes accurate throws, good overall feel for the game defensively. Right handed hitter, hits from an open spread stance with a busy hand load and a big pull back load, tends to rise up into his swing and change his eye level, lots going on during his swing that he can simplify, hits to all fields. Also pitched, threw lots of fastball strikes in the low 60's and had a quick and efficient outing. Good student.
