Will Downing is a 2027 RHP/1B with a 6-3 225 lb. frame from Peachtree City, GA who attends Mcintosh. Big and strong physical build. Works from a staggered toe tap delivery from the third base side of the rubber with a belt high leg raise and a 3/4's arm slot, deliberate tempo and controls his big body well through release. Fastball topped out at 89 mph with good heaviness through the zone and some arm side running life, has been up to 92 mph at PG tournaments this summer. Slider was a good pitch with the ability to change shapes, can tighten it up or swing it wide against right handers with two strikes. Repeats his mechanics well and throws strikes. Named to the PG Uncommitted Select Games Top Prospect List.
