Martin Alva is a 2026 C/RHP/3B with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Odessa, TX who attends Odessa. Physical build. Primary catcher who sits tall throughout the process. Accurate thrower with good strength and carry behind it. Gains some ground through the plate with shorter arm action. Also ran a 7.81 sixty. Right-handed hitter who is physical in the box. Starts out with a balanced base slightly open. Uses a small foot tap trigger for timing and rythm. Showed some feel to launch and create leverage during his round of bp showing good opposite field pop. Also pitched throwing from a high 3/4 slot. Works downhill with a high leg kick and stays on plane. Fastball up to 81. Good student.
