2026 PG Northeast Indoor Showcase
Dex Ellis is a 2029 RHP/1B with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from South Orange, NJ who attends Columbia. Medium athletic build with some present strength for his age and more to come. Works exclusively from the stretch with a simple delivery that he repeats well, free and fluid arm stroke from a 3/4's arm slot, works into his lower half well. Fastball sat in the upper 80's, ball comes out of his hand very easily and gets on hitters quickly. Slider was a good pitch with tight spin and sharp late biting action, also took off the slider for more of an easy strike curveball. Also flashed a short cutter. Strike thrower who over matched hitters. 5.43 runner in the forty. Secondary first baseman on defense, had clean athletic actions and quick footwork. Right handed hitter, sets up in an even balanced base with a compact high hand load and a hanging leg raise timer, swings hard and looks to create lift and leverage, gets into his lower half well, power approach and made some load contact when everything came together. Good student. Named to the PG Northeast Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
