Malosi Mata'afa-Alferos is a 2025 SS/MIF with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Ewa Beach, HI who attends Mililani HS. Recorded a 6.76 second 60-yard dash time. Super athletic frame with lots of room to add strength and fill out. Primary shortstop with excellent arm strength up to 98 mph across the diamond. Terrific range with bouncy and easy actions. Smooth glove hand and can make plays to either side with ease. Left-handed hitter with a simple stroke, high hand set, and a high back elbow. Gets the swing through the hitting zone nicely and can turn the ball over to the pull side with ease. Has impressive present bat speed and power potential is significant as he adds strength. Impact defender up the middle long term. Terrific student. Verbal commitment to Oregon.
