Owen Fouse is a 2029 C/RHP/1B with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from Lake Mary, FL who attends Lake Mary. Strong, durable looking frame with well-proportioned strength throughout. Recorded a 7.35 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary catcher that received from a one-knee stance with soft hands, direct midline transfer and some arm strength. Gains ground towards his target efficiently, while maintaining good pasture and delivered fairly accurate throws up to 71 mph during drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher that worked exclusively from the stretch in this look. Maintains good direction down the slope and repeats well. Fastball worked in the low-to-mid 70s throughout and topped out at 76 mph from a higher three-quarters arm slot. Developing command of the fastball, flashed true downer curveball with vertical depth and some power to it as go-to secondary offering, will continue to improve with proper mechanical refinements and additional velocity. Took part in the outfield portion of the workout, where he showed active footwork into the fielding process, while transitioning with deliberate pace into release. Produced arm strength up to 79 mph during drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from a wider base with a tight hand set and bigger leg lift trigger. Developing feel for the barrel with some present bat speed and strength in his hands. Whole field approach due to some timing issues but projects for more power as he refines his stroke mechanically. Multi-faceted, versatile defender with some things to like at the plate offensively.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
