2025 PG Hawaii National Showcase Qualifier
Brayden Shizuru is a 2026 2B/RHP/SS with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Honolulu, HI who attends Mid Pacific Institute. Slender young athletic build with some wiry strength. 6.88 runner in the sixty. Primary second baseman on defense with the tools and athleticism to play shortstop as well, has bounce in his actions and rounds the ball well, short and quick arm action, very good raw arm strength for second base. Right handed hitter, starts from a spread stance with a deep and still hand load, line drive swing that stays in the zone for a long time, lived on the barrel the entire event and showed power in the games, high contact swing approach. Also pitched, works from the stretch with a longer arm stroke than he showed in the infield. Filled up the strike zone with a fastball that topped out at 85 mph, slider was nice pitch with depth and the feel to locate, cuts his change up. Good student. Named to the PG Hawaii National Showcase Qualifier Top Prospect List.
