Omar Minaya is a 2026 OF/1B with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Santo Domingo, NC who attends Notre Dame School. Medium frame with lean muscularity and a lot time to add overall physicality. Good athletic actions here and he ran the 60 yard dash in a solid 7.09 seconds. Primary position OF, moving methodically to the ball and working glove out front, gathering from there. Squares up well with big crow hop to build throws up to 80 mph with accuracy to bags. Covers ground. RHH working from a slightly wider base, high hand set and high back elbow. Displayed some mistimed swings but got better as the round went on. When on time and in the middle of the field, there was a lot of loud impact and some projectable power. Really showed the bat talent as he settled in and delivered the barrel with strength in game action. Very good student and he is uncommitted.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
