Austen Recker is a 2027 OF/RHP/MIF with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Excelsior, MN who attends Chanhassen. Primary OF with a lean and athletic young build with lots of room to get stronger. Moves well to the ball taking good angles. Showed good fluid actions on the dirt overall and was up to 83 from across the diamond. Will need to be more consistent with accuracy. From the outfield, was up to 87 from there with good carry behind his throws. Moves well to the ball and works through it with maintained momentum. Ball comes out easy fielding it out front with clean glove work and actions. Arm speed is quick and up to par. Also ran a 7.41 sixty. Also pitched from an abbreviated semi-windup. Quick delivery to the plate and stays balanced well with his motions landing in line consistently working downhill with good athleticism. Fastball worked up to 82 with excellent life out of the hand. Quick arm throwing from a mid 3/4 slot. Fastball gets good carry up in the zone and forced late swings with late life. Went to a slider in the mid-70s that played short and tight with good spin traits getting upwards of 2600 RPM. Right-handed hitter who uses a negative toe tap trigger for timing and rhythm. Can really impact the baseball when on time and on plane. Strength off the barrel was highly evident and showed strong gap to gap power. Produced an exit velo of 85. Excellent student. Named to the PG National Underclass Showcase-Main Event Presented by GEICO Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
