Donny Gomez is a 2023 C with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Vineland, NJ who attends Vineland Sr High-South. Medium athletic build with good present strength and room for more. 7.18 runner in the sixty. Has flexible and athletic actions behind the plate defensively, sets up low and gives a good target, gets out of his crouch well, quick release with some carry on his throws, makes accurate throws, defensive skills and tools to play at the next level. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread stance with a rock back load to start his swing, tends to stay on his back side, inside swing path with a mid field to opposite field approach, can unlock some strength in his swing with some lower half shift into contact. Good student.
