Gavin Trainer is a 2026 3B/RHP, SS, OF with a 5-6 135 lb. frame from Boyertown, PA who attends Boyertown Area. 7.32-second runner during the sixty. High-waisted, long, lean frame with tons of projection remaining as he matures physically. Primary infielder, with solid glove actions, working uphill with deliberate footwork. Showed some ranger going to his left and right. Up to 70 mph across the diamond. Secondary right-handed pitcher, Full wind up, coiling his mid section with an even leg-lift, remaining balanced as he strides down the mound. Pounded the zone with a fastball-curveball combination. Over-the-top arm slot, getting on top of his heater as he worked it around the zone. Up to 72 mph with his fastball. Showed good feel for his breaking ball as he landed it for strikes often. Also took some reps in the outfield, aggressive approach with athletic actions. Up to 72 mph with carry on his throws as he played through the ball well. Right-handed hitter, sets up with a narrow, upright stance, standing slightly open with a high-hand set. Toe-tap-trigger with a downhill swing plane that resulted in good feel for the barrel. Flashing some line-drive impact through the middle of the field. As he gains bat speed and gets stronger ball will begin to jump off his bat. Excellent student. Named to 2021 14U Fall Northeast Top Prospect List.
