John Zangrilli is a 2026 OF/1B with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from Westfield, IN who attends Carmel. Slender medium build with some wiry strength and more to come. Left handed hitter, sets up in an upright stance with a leg raise timer, stays well connected and creates some bat speed, gets some uphill plane in his swing, ball comes off the barrel well, drives the ball hard to the pull side, has hitting tools to continue to develop. 7.26 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, fields the ball cleanly out front, clean transition into his throws, gets downhill on his throws and makes accurate one-hop throws with beginning carry, fundamentally sound defensive actions. Very good student.
