Braxton Shelton is a 2022 SS/RHP/2B with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Fort Morgan, CO who attends Brush HS. Recorded a 7.12 second 60-yard dash time. Well-built frame with looseness and athleticism along with additional room for physical projection. Primary shortstop with longer actions and good body control. Moves well and is accurate from lower slots. Maintains well and has plenty of arm strength for the left side with throws up to 90 mph. Graded out best on the mound where he worked up to 93 mph with significant horizontal life. Fast paced delivery with a big rocker step into a leg lift at the belt. Compact arm with a quick stroke and the fastball comes out of the hand well. Showed both a four-seam and two-seam fastball and held velocity on both throughout. Slider shows good shape while the curveball shows good depth. Changeup is his best secondary with late action and very similar arm speed to the fastball. Right-handed hitter with a wide base, high hand set, and a high back elbow. Fires well with his lower half and torques through the finish nicely. Shows bat speed and gets the ball into the air well. Power over hit but things to like in both regards. Tremendous student. High level two-way tools; named to the Fall Top Prospect National TP List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
