Nico Newhan is a 2023 SS/2B/3B with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from Vista, CA who attends Maranatha Christian Schools. Medium athletic build with very good present strength. Right handed hitter, hits from a narrow slightly open stance, very busy hand load, strong and quick hitter's hands, creates barrel whip through the zone, ball comes off the barrel hard, hits to all fields with carry, can lag the barrel and maintain bat speed. Second base tools on defense, has good fundamentals working behind the ball and in his exchange. Son of former MLB player David Newhan. Excellent student. Named to the PG Underclass All-American Games Top Prospect List.
