Connor Ackerman is a 2027 RHP/1B with a 6-5 220 lb. frame from East Meadow, NY who attends St. Dominic. Big and strong athletic build. Works from a full wind up with an easy delivery and arm action that he repeats well. Fastball was up to 84 mph, mostly straight and thrown for strikes. Pronates over the change up well with good arm speed for some fading life. Also showed good arm speed on a sweeping slurve type breaking ball with some depth. Solid three-pitch mix and the ability to mix up his pitches. 7.57 runner in the sixty. Secondary first baseman on defense, moves well around the bag. Left handed hitter, starts from a slightly open stance with a simple stride into contact, looks to pull the ball, has lots of hand strength and flashes the ability to drive the ball. Excellent student.
