2025 Canes Baseball End of Summer Organizational Showcase
Chaplin Cox is a 2026 OF/LHP/1B with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Columbia, SC who attends Cardinal Newman. Lean athletic build. Outstanding runner, 6.30 in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, fielding out front and presents the glove a tad late with a good action to throw with a strong arm with good carry and some jump out of the hand. Left-handed hitter starts from a spread stance with even feet and a high back elbow, utilizes a small toe-tap trigger. Quiet hands with some feel to drive and impact with lift in the swing with a flatter bat plane. Pulls the ball with authority with some whip in the hands with good strength in the swing. Exciting player with intent in swings and athleticism showing on both sides of the ball. Excellent student.
