Shane Torres is a 2027 C/MIF with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Aurora, IL who attends Waubonsie Valley. A lean frame and medium build. Ran a 7.17 60-yard dash. Primary catcher who worked from a right-knee-down stance with some quickness out of the crouch. He had arm strength with some arm speed to get the ball out quickly. He had good whip and accuracy around the bag in the air. Produced throws at 74 mph with a 2.03 pop time. Put together a good round with good actions and intent working out of the crouch. A left-handed hitter with open feet, high hands, the back elbow up, and a slightly inward move to contact. He had some lift and launch staying shorter to it. He has bat speed and ability to drive the ball, doing damage. He delivered the barrel on time with strength behind it, taking some loud swings, especially working pull-side with feel to impact it. Showed good barrel accuracy throughout his round of BP swings. Produced an 87 mph exit velocity during PG DK Testing. Excellent student.
