Lucas Batrez is a 2026 RHP/3B/SS with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends Rancho Bernardo. Bigger athletic build with good present strength. Works from the stretch with a strong lower half drive down the mound, high 3/4's arm slot, balanced and repeatable mechanics with good rhythm and pace. Fastball was consistently in the upper 80's with good arm side life and some carry through the zone. Curveball could have more power but showed good spin and some 11/5 depth and can be further developed. 7.05 runner in the sixty. Plays third base when not on the mound, has some idea on his footwork to the ball, arm is quick strong. Right handed hitter, starts from a straight stance with an upper body rotational swing and a line drive swing path, works up the middle and has some strength at contact. Excellent student. Named to the California High School All-State Games Top Prospect List.
