Jack Scheri is a 2022 SS/2B with a 5-11 197 lb. frame from Peru, IL who attends La Salle-Peru Twp. Medium frame with strong, athletic build; ran 60 yard dash in 6.82 seconds. Hits from balanced set with high hands, hands work well through load and launch, gets onto front side at times, strength stands out when on time, can work gap to gap, flashed ability to backspin the ball to the opposite field gap, loose stroke. Worked out in the infield, plays low to the ground and stays balanced moving laterally, fields cleanly out front and works through it, 3/4 slot release, clocked up to 88 mph across the diamond. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Creighton. Named to 2020 Main Event Showcase Top Prospect List.
