Logan O'Neil is a 2018 OF/RHP with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Fort Lauderdale, FL who attends Westminster Academy HS. Tall, strong and athletic build that has some room to fill as he matures in to the body. In the outfield workouts he showed an aggressive first step to the ball, fielded the ball in a good position, threw with long arm action and good arm speed. At the plate he has a tall stance, starts early and under control of his movements, gather to the rear leg, tips barrel to strong launch position, works up to the ball with lower half and bat path follows. Solid contact during batting practice. Also pitched showing a balanced, on line delivery. Creates an extended arm circle back at separation and releases from a high three-quarters slot. Shows good connection throughout delivery with rhythm. Fastball has occasional downward angle when located at the bottom of the zone, topped at 77 mph. Flashed a projectable curveball with solid rotation and occasional late depth when staying on top. Consistently filled the strike zone each inning while challenging hitters. Good student.
