Keagan Calero is a 2019 SS/2B, 3B with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Rochester, NH who attends Spaulding. Primary shortstop with large frame and athletic build, projectable body type, 6.96 runner in the 60. Shows great feel for creating hops and reading the ball off the bat, moves with ease laterally and charging the ball. Glove skills are well above average with clean transfers to throw, has quickness and shows arm strength with carry from multiple arm angles. Hits from an upright, narrow and slightly open stance, high hand and back elbow set up. Shows weight shift into contact and looks to create leverage out front. Bat path can get steep but he shows pull side pop with present approach and strength levels. Has the ability to use the whole field with an up-the-middle approach at the plate. Good student.
