2023 WWBA Summer Workout Showcase (July 12)
Clarence Callaway is a 2024 C/RHP, 1B with a 6-1 215 lb. frame from Conyers, GA who attends Dutchtown. Primary catcher with a strong athletic build showing functional strength throughout the build. Showed plus speed with a 6.60 second sixty. Sits in a deeper stance behind the plate still showing good twitch out of the crouch with proper footwork getting to a strong base and showcasing well above average arm strength with accurate throws that show easy carry to the bag, recording a 1.77 second pop time with his best rep. Switch hitter starts with a wider base from the right side getting the front foot down on time and impacting the baseball well to the pull side with torque and barrel skills to the swing. Displayed identical bat speed and intent from the left side of the plate still impacting the baseball with authority to the pull side of the field. Good student.
