Turner Swistak is a 2020 RHP/3B with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Hattiesburg, MS who attends Oak Grove. Medium, athletic frame with slender present build; very good projection remaining on frame. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.92 seconds. Primary right-handed pitcher, gathers well over rubber and leans back into drop-and-drive delivery, stays balanced through delivery and gets downhill with good lower half drive. Throws from high three quarters arm slot with good plane to the plate, fastball worked 74-78 MPH with good running life. Showed slider with tight, short break, good sharpness to pitch; also showed changeup with downer action and good arm speed off of hand. Did a good job missing barrels consistently and throwing strikes. Sets up to hit from wide-based stance with inverted front foot, high back elbow and hands, toe tap trigger with solid overall timing. Drops back shoulder a bit to get on good plane to ball, swings it hard with good intent, creates some leverage at contact and showed solid jump off the barrel when squared up with good power projection. Worked out defensively in the infield, shows good footwork to both sides with some range, moves into crow hop well and throws accurately across the diamond up to 78 MPH. Very good student.
