Grant Borden is a 2023 SS/2B with a 6-0 140 lb. frame from Sellersburg, IN who attends Our Lady Of Providence. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.17 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, sound mechanics and moves well to the ball with balance, circles and works through the backhand nicely, overall quickness to footwork will improve, shows comfort dropping arm slot on throws, accurate across with develop arm strength. Righthanded hitter, begins with an open stance and a high hand at and back elbow in the box; utilizes a high leg lift trigger moving into contact. Longer path through the zone, hands work well and utilizes a contact oriented approach. Keeps hands inside the ball, shows some fluidity to stroke, shifts well into contact and comes off well when squared, projects with added strength.
