Kai So is a 2025 C/LHP, 3B, UT with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Gainesville, FL who attends F. W. Buchholz. Medium athletic build with good present strength. Switch-hitter at the plate, hits from the same set up from both sides, slightly open front side to start with hands loaded close to his chest, gets his hands moving early and in good rhythm, better swing plane with more lift and strength presently from the right side, tends to hit down on the ball more from the left side, hit the ball very well in the games and showed his power. 7.40 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, comes out of his crouch well and shows athleticism, throws from a lower slot but has solid carry on his throws and made consistently accurate throws. Played with lots of energy and understands the leadership aspect of the catching position. Listed as a both handed thrower in addition to being a switch-hitter but did not pitch at this event. Excellent student. Named to the Fall Top Prospect National Showcase Top Prospect List.
