Alex Pendergast is a 2020 MIF/RHP with a 5-9 170 lb. frame from West Des Moines, IA who attends Roosevelt HS. Medium athletic build with good strength for his size and age. Right handed hitter, upright open stance with a limited shift, rotational lower half, swings hard and creates some bat speed with gap to gap power, repeats his timing and swing path well, has hitting tools to continue to grow. 7.65 runner, shows some first step quickness laterally in the infield, can adjust his arm slot on the move and make accurate throws, hands are pretty soft at the ball, arm strength is developing. Also pitched, clean arm circle from a 3/4's slot, stays tall and on line to the plate. Steady mid-70's fastball, gets nice running action and works down in the strike zone, slowed arm on his curveball, effective throwing lots of strikes. Good student.
