Johnny Carver is a 2026 LHP/1B with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Raymore, MO who attends Raymore-Peculiar. Broad shouldered athletic build with good strength for his age. Works from the stretch with a high leg raise and tuck start, syncs up his upper and lower halves very well, medium length stride out front, gets over his front side well, grunts even though his delivery is pretty low effort. Fastball worked in the upper 80's, also mixed in a two-seamer with some sink in the mid-80's, threw his fastball for strikes and dominated with the pitch. Dropped his slot some on a sweeping slider with good shape and spin, also dropped a bit on a change up. Strike thrower who knows how to mix his pitches and get outs. 7.75 runner in the sixty, plays first base when not on the mound. Left handed hitter, hits from an open stance with a barrel tilt start, has good bat speed and was well timed in the games, consistent hard pull side contact, has some hitting tools to go with his big arm. Good student, verbal commitment to Arkansas. Named to the Kansas City Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
