AJ Whiteherse is a 2021 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-10 198 lb. frame from Pittsburgh, PA who attends Woodland Hills. Recorded a 4.99 second forty-yard dash time. Well proportioned frame with physical look to it. Primary infielder with first step quickness, good lateral range and clean glove actions. Displays good usage of his lower half throughout, while exhibiting a clean funnel out in front and quick release. Recorded arm strength up to 77 mph across the diamond. Secondary right-handed pitcher, full windup delivery with over the head movement, belt high leg lift and shorter stride out to foot strike. Fairly simple, repeatable delivery with good tempo, short and compact arm action and the ability to command the fastball to both sides of the plate. Fastball worked in the low-to-mid 70s for the duration of his outing, topping out at 76 mph from a high three-quarters arm slot. Mixed in developing breaking ball that had loose 12-6 shape and gradual depth to it. Right-handed hitter that hits from a slightly open stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and toe-tap trigger. Incorporates good rhythmic hand load, getting on plane early and using his lower half well to create torque. Whole field approach with quickness to his hands, feel for the barrel and the ability to impact the baseball with some authority. Simplistic swing with upside from a power perspective, will continue to improve with minor refinements and additional strength. Excellent Student.
