2019 PG South Top Prospect Games at Texas A&M
Zac Addkison is a 2020 RHP/1B with a 6-4 225 lb. frame from San Antonio, TX who attends Texas Military Institute. Big and strong athletic build. Simple slow paces delivery, turn and throw mechanics, hides the ball very well, tight 3/4's arm slot, low effort mechanics. Fastball topped out at 92 mph, gets on hitters quickly due to his arm action and release, fastball was mostly straight for a few innings before developing hard running action as his arm got tired, maintained his velocity very well. Change up was his best secondary pitch, slows a bit on it but has some run and proper velocity. Twisty slider flashes some bite at higher velocities. Key to future development will be improving his breaking ball. Right handed hitter, has a feel for the barrel and picks up hits in the games, works mostly opposite field, looks to lean and lift in batting practice. Good student.
