Beau Morio is a 2027 C/RHP/3B with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Solon, IA who attends Xavier. Larger, athletic frame with well-proportioned strength present and projection remaining. Primary catcher, sets up in a side saddled stance and gets out of the crouch with urgency. Replaces his feet quickly while gaining sufficient ground towards the target. Utilizes a midline transfer before releasing the ball from a lower slot. Has plenty of evident quickness in the lower-half and shoulder. Recorded arm strength up to 78 mph with a pop-time of 1.91 sec. Secondary right-handed pitcher, operates from a full wind-up delivery with a coiled leg lift up to the belt. Separates into a fluid and full arm circle before graduating into a high three-quarters slot. Hides the baseball well through the back and releases it cleanly. Fastball had some life to it on a downward plane, ultimately peaking at 84 mph. Mixed in an 11-5 breaking ball as well as a changeup with straight depth. Right-handed hitter, starts in a slightly open stance with a deep hand set-up. Utilizes a quick turn to the point of contact before working into a line drive stroke. Rotates the hips with intent, delivering a strong barrel at impact. Creates limited separation before taking a short path to the baseball. Showed the ability to generate lift and carry to all parts of the field. Has evident strength in the hands with more power to project on moving forward. Posted an exit velocity of 87 mph. Ran a 4.94 forty-yard dash. Excellent student. Verbal commitment to Iowa. Named to the 2025 Iowa Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
