Christopher Gist is a 2025 3B/RHP with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Albuquerque, NM who attends IMG Academy. Recorded a 7.99 second sixty yard dash time. Large frame and sturdy build. Primary third baseman with a passive approach and soft hands, has developing foot speed and strength. Clean glove actions, fields it well, limited range at present but has the base to improve. Secondary right-handed pitcher with a low handset and a simple lift and throw delivery. Long and offline arm action, will improve as he throws with higher intent. Fastball shows some run and sink to it. Features a curveball and a changeup with nice fade, secondary pitches show room for improvement but have promise. Right-handed hitter with a simple stroke and minimal movement in the operation. Limited lower half usage at present, tends to keep his feet still and use his upper half only to swing. Will improve with added weight shift in the lower half, has some strength in the hands. Long swing path, likes to hit the ball deep in the zone rather than out front. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
