Charles Taaffe is a 2027 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from Vestavia Hills, AL who attends Vestavia Hills. Solid athletic build with good present strength. Right handed hitter, hits from a narrow start with a big stride into contact, line drive swing plane, timing was consistent with lots of barrel contact, whips the barrel through the zone well, mostly pull side contact. 6.81 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, moves well and has good lower half actions and athleticism, still developing consistency and feel for his glove work, good arm strength across the diamond. Good physical tools to develop further. Has been up to 87 mph on the mound this summer as well. Excellent student. Named to the WWBA Workout Showcase Top Prospect List.
