2025 PG Jr. National Showcase
Collin Thomas is a 2027 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-9 167 lb. frame from Atlanta, GA who attends Georgia Premier Academy. Medium lean build with lots of room to get stronger. 6.65 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, twitchy athletic actions with quick feet and hands, gets ride of the ball quickly and has some arm strength, plays at game speed in drills, will stay in the middle infield. Switch-hitter at the plate, sets up in a wide base and a deep hand load, has quick hands and some bat speed from the left side, good barrel control with line drive contact to all fields. Longer and less connected from the right side with more opposite field contact. Took a turn on the mound, has a simple delivery with a compact arm action and a high 3/4's arm slot, hides the ball well in back, some energy at release. Fastball topped out at 88 mph with some sink and run. Curveball was a good pitch with tight spin and good depth, played well off his fastball. Flashed a fading change up. Good student.
