Jacob Madrid is a 2026 C/RHP with a 6-4 200 lb. projectable frame from Burbank, CA who attends Notre Dame HS. A primary catcher, secondary pitcher. Shows excellent energy behind the plate and competes. Shows a desire to block the ball and keeping it in front of him. Shifts well laterally, has a quick release on his throws with some carry. Could gain ground more consistently in his footwork. Showed the athleticism to throw accurately from his knees as well. Right handed hitter, hits from an open stance with a deep hand load, gets into his hips well to drive his swing, has a loose swing with some jump off the barrel, projects to keep getting better with the bat as he adds strength. Also pitched, low effort delivery with a high 3/4 slot and a deep arm in back. Fastball topped out at 87 mph, also threw a curveball and a legit knuckleball. Named to the Top Prospect List. Recently committed to Long Beach State.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
