2022 Northern California Workout Showcase (Saturday)
Dylan Letke is a 2025 RHP with a 5-11 130 lb. frame from Fremont, CA who attends Washington. Features a tall, slender build with room to add more. Utilizes a semi-windup delivery with slight drop and drive mechanics. Gets down the mound well. Flashed solid arm speed throughout long arm action. Throws out of a 3/4 slot. Repeats the delivery well. The fastball sat 75-77 mph with some ride through the zone. Has the ability to throw the pitch to both sides of the plate. Paired with a curveball at 62-64 mph. Offering has short, 12-6 action that shows flashes of bite. Also showed a fading changeup at 69-71 mph. Creates solid arm speed deception. Showed the ability to throw it for strikes. Projectable arm with feel for three pitches. Also worked out as an infielder. Used a patient approach on ground balls. Can catch the routine ball. Still developing confidence throughout fielding action. Arm strength played across the diamond. Can throw from a low slot with ability to be accurate often. Right-handed hitter. Utilizes an upright, slightly open stance with a low hand setup. Shifts weight on the backside well using moderate leg kick timing mechanism. Displayed a linear bat path through the zone. Approach stays through the middle of the field with the ability to use the opposite field. Incorporating the lower half more would help generate more power within the swing. Ran an 8.74 60-yard dash. Good student.
